Attendance and Cancellation Policy

 

Dear Patient,

Welcome to Speech & Voice Works. Thank you for choosing our services to help you meet your speech and voice needs. Cancellations and patient no-shows decrease our ability to accommodate the scheduling needs of other patients. We therefore ask for your full cooperation with the following attendance policy.

  • Consistent attendance during the therapy process is the foundation for making progress in all goals in the plan of care.

  • Consistent attendance during rehabilitation is critical for a successful rehabilitation program and is the patient’s and/or parent’s responsibility to ensure that attendance is a priority.

  • Consistent attendance will ensure

    • Optimal conditions for rehabilitation progress

    • Efficient use of the clinician’s time and energies

In the event that you do not notify Speech & Voice Works to cancel your appointment within 48-hours of your appointment that you will not be attending it will be recorded as a No Show and the full fee of the session will apply. This fee is non-refundable. Two No Show appointments will result in your dismissal from your current schedule.

In case you or your child is ill on the day of the appointment please call as soon as possible, but no later than 7:30am on the day of the appointment to avoid fees.
